Manifest MedEx (MX) is California’s largest nonprofit QHIO—a CalHHS Data Exchange Framework (DxF)-designated intermediary that provides services and functions to help organizations securely exchange data as required under the DxF.

We help DxF Participants initiate, receive, and reply to requests for health information through our statewide health data network. MX seamlessly connects and exchanges data with more than 70 different EHRs across California – from the largest vendors used by hospitals, health plans, larger physician groups, and FQHCs to smaller EHRs more common among independent practices, community health centers, and other providers. Our network spans across California and securely exchanges data for more than 90 percent of Californians.

Our goal is to advance a health data safety net for California by making it as easy as possible for more organizations – regardless of their geography, size, and resources – to participate in the DxF and securely share critical health information needed to improve the health and wellness of all Californians.
