Partner News: CareCom Teams with Manifest MedEx to Deliver Precise Health Information Across California
Statewide health data network supports millions of patients every day by delivering the right information to the right provider at the right time.
CareCom is pleased to announce the addition of Manifest MedEx, California’s largest nonprofit health data network as a valued customer. Manifest MedEx (MX) has selected CareCom’s advanced terminology management platform HealthTerm® for semantic normalization, mapping and sensitive data management for its health information network. This new client adds to the growing list of customers who have selected HealthTerm to improve semantic interoperability.
HealthTerm increases patient safety & security by delivering a defined, consistent and precise terminology base that will be used in the Manifest MedEx health information exchange platform. The standardized and normalized data will ensure semantic coherence and consistency in diagnosis, treatment, quality assurance, reporting, and management across over 200 healthcare organizations.
“Manifest MedEx provides comprehensive health information to our participants to help improve the cost-effective delivery of quality care,” said David Kates, CTO at Manifest MedEx. “MX aggregates data for millions of patients from numerous payer and provider organizations across the State of California. CareCom ensures that we deliver consistent descriptions for the disparate clinical data we receive so our participants can make effective decisions to improve patient care.”
Manifest MedEx will present “Unifying Provider and Payer Data to Propel Value-Based Care” at #HIMSS19 Thursday, February 14, 8:30 –9:30 a.m. in room W208C.
