Expanding Data Exchange for MX Participants through TEFCA
Did you know Manifest MedEx is among the first health information organizations (HIOs) in the country to participate in the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement™, known as TEFCA™, through our partnership with eHealth Exchange (eHX), a designated TEFCA Qualified Health Information Network (QHIN)? This makes MX the largest nonprofit HIO in California to participate in both our statewide framework (the California Data Exchange Framework) and the national framework.
Participation in TEFCA is voluntary, and we’re proud to have selected eHX, a non-profit dedicated to public good, as our QHIN partner. eHX is the oldest and largest health information network in the country and is most well known as the principal way the federal government exchanges clinical data among federal agencies and with the private sector. eHX supports more than 300 million patients across the country and facilitates 25 billon data exchanges annually. eHX connects a broad range of public and private organizations, including 58 regional and state health information exchanges (HIEs), 70% of hospitals and health systems, and 70 public health jurisdictions, and was among the first to receive designation as a QHIN.
In addition to helping organizations participate in the DxF, Manifest MedEx will begin offering the opportunity to join TEFCA through the MX network in the coming weeks as part of our commitment to advance health data exchange and connectivity. Stay tuned for more information, or for questions, you can reach out to us at info@manifestmedex.org.

Manifest MedEx Welcomes New Participants!
Please join us in welcoming County of San Luis Obispo's Public Health Department and the Illumination Foundation to our ever-growing network!
The Public Health Department of the County of San Luis Obispo (SLO County) is a division within the County of San Luis Obispo Health Agency that aims to protect and improve the health of all San Luis Obispo County residents through disease surveillance, health education, direct services, and health policy development. SLO County recognized the need to obtain and share relevant health information for some of their clinics with community partners and beyond to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective comprehensive person-centered care. These clinics plays a vital role in providing essential services for the community's most vulnerable populations. Manifest MedEx looks forward to providing SLO County with a secure and modern solution to facilitate the transfer of electronic and health social services information to advance health equity for SLO County residents.
Established in 2008, the Illumination Foundation is a not-for-profit organization focused on addressing homelessness in Southern California. They provide housing and healthcare services for more than 3,000 individuals and families. Their mission is to disrupt the cycle of homelessness by providing targeted, interdisciplinary services for the most vulnerable adults and children experiencing homelessness. The Illumination Foundation will utilize MX's real-time ADT notification platform, MX Notify, to improve care coordination and close care gaps within their service population.
